Paris, before we talk about business, we've been hearing so much about
the new love of your life, Paris Latsis...
I'm so happy to be with him. He's the most
wonderful, sweetest person on earth, and he treats me better than any
man has ever treated me. He's a real gentleman, and he just wants to be
a good man for me and for us to be happy together.
Where
did you meet?
It's funny, but we met about ten years ago at a club in Monaco. He was
14 and I was 16. He came up to me and introduced himself. I told him my
name was Paris, too, and it was enough to be a connection. I remember
that we danced until six in the morning. But then we lost contact with
each other until I went to his 22nd birthday party last September. And
ever since then we've become really close and get along so well
together. It's a really beautiful feeling.
What's
special about him?
It's his manner. He has this very European worldliness and that's very
charming and very romantic. He's also extremely polite and gallant in an
old-fashioned way, almost like a character out of a book or a movie.
There's just something very elegant about him and he treats me like a
princess. I think all women deserve a man like that! (Laughs)
What
kinds of romantic things does he do for you?
He sends me flowers all the time and writes these wonderful love letters
to me that are so romantic you wouldn't believe. I've never met a man
who has that kind of sense of what love is all about or how to make a
woman feel loved and appreciated.
Do
you see yourself starting a family with him?
I can see that happening in a few years or so. I know in my heart that I
would be a great mother and that Paris would be a great father. Kids are
something I've always planned on having and being in love with a great
man is the first step down that road.
I have a lot of beautiful animals that I look after and I feel that I
would have a lot of love to give to my children. That's one important
goal I want to achieve in my life. I really would like my own family.
So you
feel that he's the one?
Yes. He loves me very deeply and I love him the same way.
Your
celebrity has been something of a phenomenon in itself. Do you feel
you're misperceived by the public?
I don't know. I think people will realise that I'm pretty serious about
building my own business and trying to put out good products on the
market which people will enjoy. I actually work a lot and I'm not even
going out to clubs anymore because I don't have the time or energy
anymore for that.
If you want to be successful, you've got to focus on your work and right
now I have a lot of good projects going on and I don't want to neglect
anything. So I'm up at 6 or 7 in the morning every day because I'm very
involved in all the business decisions that need to be made.
A
lot of stories have been coming out lately about your split with your
former best friend, Nicole Richie. What happened between you two?
I'm not going to get into specifics but what
happened was bad enough that Nicole and I are no longer friends and
that's why I'm going to do Simple Life with someone else. I would love
to do it with Kimberly Stewart, who's been my friend for years. She
would be great and I would really love to do it with her.
But there's no point in my doing series with Nicole because you can't
pretend to be friends with someone in that way when that's no longer the
case.
Still, it's shocking to a lot of people that you and Nicole have become
enemies?
We're not enemies, but I can't be friends with
someone who doesn't support me or doesn't want good things for me. I'm
the nicest, most loyal person in the world when it comes to my friends.
I would really do almost anything to help my friends and make sure
they're happy and nothing bad happens to them.
So I kind of expect that kind of feeling in return and when you find out
that that's not the case it's very upsetting. I only want friends who
are there for me just like I'm there for them, otherwise it's too
painful.
Alright. Let's talk about House of Wax. What was that experience like?
I loved doing that film. It's my first real acting test because a lot of
the other stuff I've done has just been cameo appearances or where I'm
playing myself more or less. But this was different. My character is a
pretty cool, pretty interesting woman who finds herself in this terrible
situation along with her other friends. Things get fairly scary in the
film and I think audiences are going to like it.
Are you comfortable as an actress?
Yeah. I think I can become a good actress and it's something I want to
prove to myself and prove to other people. The film was shot in
Australia and it was one of the toughest experiences I've had because we
were shooting a lot at night and half the time we were freezing. So you
learn to be disciplined and prepare yourself for your scenes because
sometimes you have to wait a few days before you do even one line or one
shot.
I'm very glad though that I had the chance to be there with a lot of
good actors and it was a great experience for me. I've also a few other
films and so I feel I'm getting better and feeling more confident about
what I can do as an actress. I want to do a lot more movies.
Do
you worry a lot about the loss of privacy and the scandal involving your
phone being hacked into?
It can be difficult sometimes but that's the kind of life I've chosen
and it's responsible for my being able to develop my business interests
and my acting career, so I'm not complaining about it.
But the phone thing was really awful and I wasn't the only one who had
her phone data stolen - it happened to a lot of other celebrities at
around the same time but you mainly read about my case. The worst thing
about that is that you worry about your private letters and messages
being read and put on the internet. And obviously I'm a target when it
comes to that so now I'm being incredibly careful with my cellphone and
I'm not using the other attachments anymore because it's such a
nightmare if a lot of private information and addresses get stolen.
Were any of your friends mad at you?
No, they understood what happened and it's happened to some of them too.
It's just a huge annoyance as you can imagine and so you have to change
your number. But it's not such a big deal.
You're known for being one of the world's most beautiful women. What do
you think about the current plastic surgery, nip and tuck craze?
I think a lot of the women who have plastic surgery look worse than
before because so many times it's obvious and it just doesn't look
natural or attractive.
I can understand women having their noses done because that's such an
important part of your appearance, and why not if it makes you look good
and you feel better about yourself. But a lot of the women who are in
their late thirties or forties are overdoing it - especially with those
ridiculously big lips. Eeewwww!
I don't know any guys who get turned on by that!
You seem pretty happy these days even though you're so busy. Do you feel
you have the right balance?
Yeah. Life is really wonderful even though I don't have a lot of free
time anymore. But I think you learn how valuable it is and how much
personal satisfaction you get from doing something productive in your
life.
I'm happy that I'm involved in a lot of good projects and that my acting
career is moving forward and all that. It's exactly the kind of life
I've wanted and that I've been striving for. I want to show a lot of
people and my parents that I'm capable of achieving a lot more than
maybe people expected from me.
But the biggest thing in my life is having a great man like Paris at my
side. You want someone like that to be there with you while it's all
happening!

Paris Hilton Detailed Biography
Growing up in Manhattan's ritzy Waldorf-Astoria, the family's
New York home, as well as other Hilton digs in Beverly Hills and
the Hamptons, Paris didn't seem to yearn for much. Even after
graduating from high school, college didn't appeal to her. So,
around the year 2000, Paris decided to branch out and become
famous.
She began to make a name for herself as a model, soon appearing
in shows for designers such as Marc Bouwer and Catherine
Malandrino, and she later completed an ad campaign for Iceberg,
an Italian label. In addition, Paris has posed for spreads in
national magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fair and FHM; she was most
recently profiled, along with her sister, in People magazine.
At the same time, Paris became the center of attention because
of her relationships -- real or imagined by the paparazzi --
with some of Hollywood's hottest young stars. In early 2000,
Paris was spotted around town with Leonardo DiCaprio. However,
the press, especially the National Enquirer, blew their casual
friendship far out of proportion. Nevertheless, she apparently
dated Terminator 2's Edward Furlong for a few months, and was
later seen out and about with boxer Oscar de la Hoya. The latest
news is that Paris is currently shacked up with actor and Tommy
Hilfiger model, Jason Shaw.
Paris, along with her younger sister Nicky, also became
notorious as socialites, gracing party after party and getting
bad press for their antics. For example, Paris has grabbed
headlines by shoving ahead of others in a washroom line, then,
when upbraided for her rudeness, quipped that she only wanted to
look at herself in the mirror. She has also danced on top of bar
banquettes, gone topless for attention, and paraded around in
designer T-shirts with slogans like, ''Got Blow?'' Yet Paris
maintains that the bad press ''sucks'' and that ''people are
mean.''
Perhaps in an effort to clean up her image, Paris has tried to
make her mark by working on more substantial projects. In 2001,
she had a cameo appearance in Ben Stiller's fashion spoof,
Zoolander. Other appearances include a role as a strung-out
supermodel in the film short QIK2JDG and the upcoming The Hillz
(co-starring boyfriend Jason Shaw), and negotiations are
underway for Paris to star in an upcoming FOX reality show along
the lines of Green Acres.
On top of that, along with her sister, Paris has designed a
high-end collection of purses for Tokyo label Samantha Thavasa.
Paris has also given back; she has done charity work for Toys
for Tots. Unfortunately, her attempts to start a modeling
company and a makeup line seem to have fizzled.
Paris Dumps "Scruffy" Lover
February 17, 2005
Paris Hilton reportedly dumped boyfriend Maroon 5 frontman
Adam
Levine after her friends complained he wasn't stylish enough. The
eccentric hotel heiress started dating the singer last December,
describing him as "special" and "not just a fling".
But, the blonde split from the handsome star after her
socialite pals reportedly kept putting him down. Taunts included
making fun of his Canadian accent and telling her he looked
down-and-out.
A source close to the star revealed to Britain's More magazine:
"Her friends really have it in for him. They all make fun of his
accent. They think he's low rent and low class. Some of Paris's
friends won't give him a chance.
"The moment Paris and Adam disappear together, the claws come
out and the gang goes to town on him. They were pushing pretty
hard for Paris to ditch him despite the fact he was everything she
wanted in a man."
